Face Filler

Face fillers are simply naturally occurring or synthetic substances that are injected into the folds, lines, and tissues in the face to fill the soft tissue under the skin and to reduce the occurrence of wrinkles and restore facial fullness that often reduces as a person grows older. Face fillers are also commonly known as wrinkle fillers, dermal fillers, soft-tissue fillers, and injectable implants. These fillers are often used to remove smile lines, correct acne scars and plump up cheeks. The injection of face fillers is considered to be one of the most common and most popular cosmetic procedures in Turkey and the world in general.

Face fillers are simply small injections of gel that are often made of substances like Hyaluronic acid that can be used o fill in wrinkles and add more volume to soft tissues in the face. It can be injected in various parts of the face such as around the mouth, eye, and cheeks. There are also some types of face fillers that are commonly referred to as lip fillers because they are often injected directly into the lip tissue.

Face fillers are often used to restore volume to the face and plump regions of the face in order to smooth areas with deep set lines. As humans get older, the bodies will stop producing collagen and elastin which are substances that contribute to our youthful appearances. Face fillers have been used by many people in the past few decades to restore lost volume to the face and provide a facelift.

If you have noticed that the effects of aging have started to become noticeable in the form of facial lines and wrinkles, then the use of fillers is considered to be one of the best ways to fix this problem without having to undergo any surgical treatment. These injectable face fillers are developed to remove and minimize the appearances of wrinkles, folds, and fine lines. Most of the face fillers that are being designed are often made with natural ingredients to help restore the skin’s supply of substances like hyaluronic acid, collagen, and elastin, and restore a youthful appearance.

Types of Face Fillers

There are many types of face fillers and they are often made with different materials to restore lost volume to the face and provide a more youthful appearance in people. Some of the most common types of face fillers include;

  1. HYALURONIC ACID FACE FILLERS

Hyaluronic acid face fillers are considered to be the most common and most popular face fillers in the world. Hyaluronic acid is a gel-like substance that can be found naturally in most parts of the human body. Hyaluronic acid is responsible for providing skin elasticity, volume, and hydration. But as humans age, their body starts to minimize the production of Hyaluronic acid in the body and this can result in the appearance of folds, wrinkles (particularly around the lips, forehead, and eyes) and a tired look.

The Hyaluronic acid is injected into the face to smooth out wrinkles, restore volume to the face and provide a more youthful appearance in people. This type of fillers is also capable of enhancing definition and hydrate the skin. In order to get successful results, different formulas are used to treat different degrees of wrinkles. Some of the Hyaluronic acid fillers also include anesthetics to enhance comfort throughout the injection process. The Hyaluronic acid fillers are used to plump the face, restore volume to areas of the face like the cheeks.

As a result of the fact that the Hyaluronic acid fillers will be gradually reabsorbed into the body, the results only last for about 6 months to 12 months. But there has been some development in the manufacturing of these face filler to enable them to last for about one year or longer. Although, there are rarely side effects in using this type of fillers. Some of the most common side effects include swelling, bruising and redness at the injection area which will disappear over time. It is also possible for the face filling to appear under the skin as tiny bumps but this will improve over time.

  1. COLLAGEN FACE FILLERS

This type is often made from a purified form of collagen that is often extracted from cows. It can be used to provide a natural-looking face. But the results are temporary and do not last long. This type of face fillers often begins to break down after about one month of the injection. Also due to the fact that face fillers are made from animal sources, there is a higher possibility of allergic reaction. However, the new development in the manufacturing of collagen face fillers hashas helped reducereduce the risks of allergic reactions in people that are using this type of face fillers. There are new kinds of synthetic collagen face fillers to make these injections safer to use for a greater number of people.

The main side effects of using these collagen face fillers are the great possibility of allergic reactions, bruising and redness at the region of injection. This is most common in collagen fillers that are still being made from cow sources.

  1. AUTOLOGOUS FAT INJECTIONS

This type of face filling injections often requires removing excess fat from different parts of the body like the buttocks and injecting it into the face for filling. The excess fat is often extracted using a liposuction process in which the fat is vacuumed out of the body through a hollow tube inserted into the skin through the surgical incisions. This type of face fillers often lasts for about 12 to 18 months.

The main side effects of using these Autologous fillers include swelling, bruising and redness at the region of injection.

  1. SYNTHETIC FACE FILLERS

These are a smaller class of fillers that are made of substances that are made in the lab and not related to anything found naturally in the body. The main side effects of using these Synthetic fillers include swelling, bruising and redness at the region of injection. This type of face fillers can provide a longer lasting effect.
