Liposuction

Until recent times, the liposuction procedure is not considered to be a method of weight loss. The liposuction procedure is considered to be a procedure that involves reshaping the body by removing fat in certain regions. The techniques of liposuction have evolved significantly and so have the instruments used for the procedure. The advancement of anesthesia and intensive care has also made it possible for liposuction techniques to evolve greatly in order to allow for much more fat removal. The procedure of liposuction is often used to remove excess body fat in certain areas of the body in order to achieve a more ideal and aesthetical body image. It is important to note that the liposuction procedure is not considered a weight loss procedure, but a body contouring or body reshaping procedure. The liposuction procedure is not used to treat health issues like obesity or cellulite and cannot be used to replace exercise and proper weight loss diet.

Liposuction is simply a type of surgery that is often used to remove fat from certain areas of the body using a special vacuum. The liposuction procedure is considered to be one of the most popular plastic surgery among men and women who are suffering from stubborn fat pockets in Turkey and the rest of the world. This condition has been known to be the cause of many health problems and psychological problems. People with this condition often feel uncomfortable about their body image and limit the freedom to dress in the way that they like. This surgical procedure can be used to remove enlarged fat cells that have proven to be resistant to diet and exercise.

The liposuction procedure can be used to remove excess fat in many areas of the body including the calves, inner knee, abdomen, ankles, buttocks, chest, neck, chin, waist, arm, hips, and thighs. Also, the quantity of fat that can be removed from the body depends mostly on the health condition of the patient and the region of the body where the fat is located.

Liposuction Procedure

The liposuction procedure can take about one to four hours depending on the extent of the procedure. The procedure is often done under the influence of anesthesia. The first step involves making small and well-hidden incisions, then infusing a sterile liquid solution to reduce bleeding and trauma. The doctor will then put a narrow tube into the small incision nearby a target area. The tube is then attached to a strong vacuum that is drawn back and forms within the excess fat in order to remove it while keeping the blood vessels and nerves intact. The doctor can also suction out the fat with a syringe that is attached to a cannula.

After this procedure, the patient might experience some swelling, bruising and pain, and the doctor can suggest that the patient wear compression garment to hold the tissue together and provide adequate support for two to four weeks.  The patient should be able to return to his or her daily routine in just one or two weeks after the procedure. The patient should also be able to see the final results after about three months.

The results of the liposuction procedure will be long-lasting if the patient ensures that he or she maintain a stable weight and general fitness. The improved body shape will be more noticeable after the swelling subsides. As the patient gets older, the body can lose some firmness but most of the results should be relatively permanent.  The patient will also be encouraged to follow a healthier lifestyle after this procedure in order to maintain the current body shape and feel more attractive.

This procedure is almost painless because performed under the influence of local anesthesia and it is a minimally-invasive technique that contours and shapes the patient’s body.

Laser Liposuction Technique

This technique uses laser beams to heat and liquefies fat in certain areas of the body, which is later removed by a suction process. The technique is a relatively safe method of liposuction and does not cause the patient pain because it is done under the influence of local anesthesia. This technique can be performed on a patient with both saggy skin and firm skin.
